An Absolutely Amazing Home, A Good Price, Closing Cost Paid, And No Payment For 48 Days!

My wife, Kayla, and I decided it was time to move into a larger home for our growing family. We knew just who to contact about helping us. We reached out to Craig Summers of Atlanta Northwest Realty’s Paulding & Polk Team, because he’d sold us our current home and stayed in contact with us over the years. We asked a ton of questions about selling our current home. Craig gave us a ton of information about our options. He also reminded us that we’d bought our first home at the right time. He also advised that we were selling at a good time and we stood to make a substantial amount of money to use toward the purchase of a larger home. We had so many questions that Craig asked if we could meet so he could answer all of our questions. We agreed. After we decided to proceed with selling our current home, Craig got us in touch with his lender to get our prequalification letter for our new home. He also created a custom home search to fit our specific wants and needs. We sent several homes to Craig that we wanted to see. Just 6 short days later, we fell in love with one of the homes we went to see. We made an offer and after a little negotiation, we got our offer accepted.The seller agreed to pay $4585.00 toward our closing costs. We had a home inspection done because of some concerns we noticed when viewing the home. The home inspection pointed out in detail what the issues were and Craig advised we should seek to have the seller pay to repair the item or agree to reduce the price so the items could be repaired. We agreed and Craig went to work negotiating with the seller. We came to an agreement to reduce the sales price $1500.00 Shortly after this, we reduced the list price on our current home to get an offer that could close around the same time as the offer we’d made to purchase our new home. Within a couple of days, we received a strong CASH offer from an investor. It wasn’t exactly what we wanted, but it was a really good offer, so we took it. However, just one week later, the investor backed out of the offer. We almost gave up! Thanksgiving and Christmas were coming and we’d lost our offer; we were so frustrated and didn’t want to move at Christmas time. Craig told us not to give up, he was confident we could get another offer. He reached out to an agent who’d previously showed our home and, fortunately for us, her buyers were still extremely interested and they made us an offer! Their offer was actually better than the investor offer we had and would close 12 days before Christmas! Craig was even able to get the seller of the home we were going to purchase to extend our closing date on the purchase so we would not have to move twice!!
