Chances of Selling Paulding County Homes Are At Their Highest In A Year!

We told you last month that Home Selling Season was here. If you didn’t listen, we hope the below statistics will cause you to listen this month! The Paulding County Market has been creeping up since September of 2014, with only small decreases in December, caused by Christmas, and February caused by the snow. The chances of selling Paulding County homes jumped 5.4% from February to March. This month we see a jump of 9.8%, that’s PHENOMENAL and 81.1% is the highest percentage chance we’ve seen in over a year!

The below is the April 2015 Market Absorption for Paulding County homes ranging from $125K-150K. This data will show you what we’re talking about.

I know there are those who think it’s better to sell in the summer months, but THAT IS NOT A GOOD PLAN! Note the stats from 2014 show that sales actually drop after May. Think about it, kids get out of school and people go on vacation during the summer. They are focused on activities other than home shopping.

The stats also show the number of days on market has reached an average of 30 days, that’s note a high number, but it means the market is getting overloaded with homes. This is not good for those of you who believe you should sell during the summer months. If everyone waits, the market is only going to become EXTREMELY OVERLOADED with homes! If you’ve been thinking of selling, you need to list it NOW to sell in May, before folks take a break from home shopping. If you wait, you could get caught in the overloaded market and you home could sit on the market for much longer than you anticipate and hinder your ability to move into another home.
