While speaking with my insurance agent and mentioned trying to sell my home again. Id tried for several years and never could get it sold. I thought this was a great idea and set up a time to meet. Craig was great; he showed up and had his full listing presentation prepared; but before he went over that, he asked me to show him around the home and point out the items I thought needed repair. I did. And after discussing these items, I had a repair list set. Craig also advised that he didnt feel these repairs would be more than $1000. I explained to Craig, I didnt have the $1000 to make those repairs. Craig advised he was so confident that my home would sell, that hed pay to have the repairs completed and I could pay him from the proceed from my home sale. I agreed. Craig then asked if I wanted to know what he felt my home would be worth, once the repairs were complete. I did and he went straight to the market data he used to determine what he felt would be the best price for my home. After he showed us the market data, we discussed what he felt we should list our home for after the repairs. From there, Craig showed me all of the marketing the Paulding & Polk Team would do to sell my home. It was an impressive marketing plan, so I decided to get my repair list completed and list my home with his team. Once the repairs were finished, I advised Craig I was ready to list my home. He came over, and we talked more about the price Craig felt my home would sell for and I listed for the highest price Craig felt I could get for my home. He was upfront and honest about the price, advising he was not confident my home would sale for the full list price; but, he agreed to list the home for my price and do his best to sell it.Craig was great. He followed up with me periodically giving me updates on what was going on with the market and what he felt I should do about my pricing. We did several price reductions and we finally got an offer for my home. We negotiated a little before we came to an agreement and we had to reduce slightly to allow the seller to make some repairs, but my home was finally getting sold after multiple agents had tried.
