I was renting for $725 a month when I decided to look for a home to purchase. I found www.pauldingandpolk.com with an online form for a FREE list of 3 Plus Bedroom Paulding County Homes under $150,000 with PRICES, ADDRESSES, & DESCRIPTIONS. I filled out the form and immediately received the FREE list. I also received a call from Keisha Cline with Atlanta Northwest Realty’s Paulding & Polk Team to verify I received the list. I informed Keisha that some things were going on at work and I needed to hold off on purchasing a home for a while. She was very understanding and advised she’d follow up with me periodically to see how things were going. Keisha was fantastic; she did EXACTLY what she said she’d do and followed up regularly. Unfortunately, some other things came up as well. Keisha said not to worry, she’d just continue to follow up and when I was ready and the Paulding & Polk Team would be ready to help me move forward.

Finally after about a year, I informed Keisha I was ready to make my home purchase. Keisha immediately got me in contact with the Paulding & Polk Team lender to get a pre-approval letter. Once I got the letter, Keisha set a meeting with Craig Summers, of Atlanta Northwest Realty’s Paulding & Polk Team, to show me homes.

When I met Craig, he was great; he took the time to go over the details of my home purchase and showed me a number of homes that day. He also created a custom home search website for me to see homes that met my needs. While seeing homes the first time out, I made an offer, but it was not accepted. Craig told me not to worry, we’d find a great home for a great price, I just needed to keep looking and we set another appointment to see homes.

Craig showed me lots of homes and I fell in love with one and made an offer. Unfortunately, the home received multiple offers. Craig notified me of my options in the multiple offer situation and I decided to increase my original offer. After a day or so, Craig informed me my offer had been accepted. I however, decided I no longer wanted to pay what I offered, but rather wanted to go back to my original offer. When I did, the seller took another offer. I couldn’t believe it, I let the home slip through my fingers. Craig advised me that we’d have to keep looking and we did. I found a few more that I liked and made offers on, but none of them were as good as the one I lost. I just wasn’t willing to offer as strong as I might have if I weren’t still in love with the first home I offered on. My offers didn’t get accepted, but Craig never lost faith and continued to show me homes.

I finally found a beautiful home and made a really strong offer, which got accepted. I was excited! So excited, in fact, that I almost forgot to have a home inspection completed. Craig had to ask for an extension to allow time to get the inspection report back and address any issues that were found. We did find some issues. Craig and I spoke at length and he offered his professional opinion and with that being considered, I told him to ask for a price reduction to allow for repairs. He did as I asked and the seller actually agreed to reduce $500 more than we asked and also pay for a home warranty for me. I was elated!

Because of the Paulding & Polk Team’s patience waiting on me to be ready to buy a home and their patience in finding me a home, I am now a homeowner! Craig’s work in negotiating with the seller’s agent got the purchase price reduced by $3,000.00. He also got the seller to pay $7,000 in closing costs AND they paid $335 for a home warranty. Craig’s hard work on my behalf greatly helped me with the purchase of this home; it paid off HUGE! With Craig’s help, I saved a TOTAL OF $10,335.00!!
