Paulding County Homes: Homes Are Priced Like They Were 10 Years Ago!

I said in an article last month we were in “uncharted territory” and I meant it.  Home sales in October & November are usually lower than almost any other months of the year, but not this year, they are way higher!  November 2016 was 110%, November 2017 is 237.4%, that’s an increase of 127.4% from the same time last year!  Not only that, but from October 2017 to November 2017 there was a 57.4% increase.  This is just UNBELIEVABLE for this time of year!

What does this mean for buyers?  To be honest, we really don’t know, but what we can say is the homes we’re seeing/showing on the market are in MUCH BETTER condition than they’ve been in the past several years.  Sellers are really making their homes shine in hopes of quickly getting a buyer.  This means buyers who are buying now are getting much better houses for their money than the buyers who bought in the last few years. I will also say, comparing apples to apples, most of the Paulding County homes on the market are still priced like they were 10 years ago.  What do I mean, let me give you an example.  We recently listed a home for $129,900 and exactly 10 years ago someone paid $130,000 for that very same home.  With all that said, if you want to buy a home, there is NO REASON to sit and wait!
