My wife, Nicole, and I decided it was time to move closer to our family. I had noticed an old friend of mine, Craig Summers of Atlanta Northwest Realtys Paulding & Polk Team, was always posting real estate information on Facebook, so I reached out to him to talk about selling our home. Craig and I talked and at first he didnt feel as if he would be able to sell our home for the price we were asking based on recent market sales in our subdivision. However, about a week after our conversation, Craig called me back to tell me there were several homes under contract for much more than what the homes had been selling for and he felt those sales would help us justify the price we needed to get in order to pay off our mortgage and make our move. We accepted the offer and awaited our appraisal. It came in low, but Craig and the buyers agent put a plan in place to overcome this issue and still move forward. Unfortunately, the buyer lost his job and could no longer purchase our home. Craig told us not to worry; he would continue marketing our home and get us another buyer. Within two weeks, we had another offer and we accepted that offer as well. However, this time the buyer simply got cold feet and backed out. We were so frustrated. Craig was very understanding and assured us we would get our home sold.Although it seemed like an eternity before the next offer came in, it was only 5 weeks. We accepted this offer and this final time, things worked in our favor. We had absolutely no issues from this point forward; we simply waited for our closing date and closed. I guess what they say is true: the third time is a charm. Although we had unfortunate circumstances with our first two buyers, Craig and the Paulding & Polk Team got our home SOLD!
